The Rise in Gas Prices in Russia Has Sharply Slowed
Rosstat reported that during the week of August 4 to 10, gas prices changed in only 28 regions of Russia. In comparison, the previous week saw a much broader increase.
The average price of AI-95 across the country remains around 80 rubles per liter, but after a sharp spike in July, the rate of increase has begun to slow down. This may indicate that fuel imports, export restrictions, and the redistribution of stocks are gradually stabilizing the market.
This news is particularly relevant to the AI-95 markets in Moscow and the Novosibirsk region. For Novosibirsk, it is especially important that the current national average is already significantly above the market threshold of 72 ₽/l, even though the final figure is calculated based on the regional average price.
